Thanks for trying this Version 1 Build 48. All the features from the CD-ROM disc dos version(s) are in this interface and two new feature. In addition to these, BG Interface has a two FREE databases: a sample 4 checker bearoff database in the home board and Race database. Race give you equities for one checker racing against one checker with no hitting. These equities are usefull in backgammon for deciding doubles, redoubles, takes and passes in races with little or no contact. A new feature is a Monte Carlo simulations with a checker in the outerboard (points 7 - 12). One or both sides can one 1 checker in the outerboard. Another new feature finds the "closest position" for the side on roll. The "closest position" would be the position your opponent would have to be the smallest favorite and smallest underdog for each cube position. You can look up equities etc for Hyper-Backgammon from the Hyper-Backgammon game disc. Also, keep in mind that when Hyper-BG when both sides have 2 checkers or less is the same as backgammon (this is not true when one or both side have 3 checkers because of gammon and backgammon). Hence, you can look up any backgammon position when both sides have 2 checkers or less anywhere on the board. You can now change the checker you putting on the board by: 1. by changing the Red Checker / Green Checker check box 2. click any checker of the other color Know problems are: 1. you can not click on a label on a checker to take it on or off the board 2. some touch pad on laptop put checkers down when you don't want them put dowm.....disable the enhancements in touch pad in the mouse icon in control panel Many people have reported to me that the interface work fine under Windows NT.....but I have not tested it myself. Any other ideas for new features?? If any system files are replace, backup copies are put in a dir backup under the program dir for BG Interface. For the setup defaults this would be: "c:\Program Files\BG Interface\backup" Also, there is a program to UnInstall BgInterface. It is UnInstall-BG.exe and is the the dir/folder where the program is install. I would greatly appreciate feed back on bugs your comments and suggestions . You can email me at sconyers@bga.com thanks, Hugh Sconyers
